I Am Poem

I am a friendly girl who loves space
I wonder what the earth looks like from the moon
I hear a rocket going up into space
I see the sun rising in the distance
I want to see the stars and the planets
I am a friendly girl who loves space

I pretend I could jump from star to star and
explore unknown galaxies
I feel the rocky surfers of the moon under my feet
I touch a passing asteroid in the asteroid belt
I worry if the sun will fade one day
I cry when I have to leave space and go home
I am a friendly girl who loves space

I understand not everyone wants to visit space
I say space is a great place
I dream that I could go into space
I try and learn everything I can about space,
it's planets, and stars
I hope I can visit space
